My Mom was an avid reader setting positive examples having read to us as children. Mom derived joy from gardening and particularly baking and cooking for her loved ones. Mary Jo had retired in 1986 from the Small Business Administration with the Federal Government as an Administrative Officer and previously as an Executive Secretary for a previous brokerage firm. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Scott) Barcelo of Watertown, MA, Susan Schwartz of Dallas, TX, Kathy Neustadt of Denver, CO, and her grandchildren, Sam and Emmy Barcelo, Elizabeth and Katie Schwartz, and Tess and Josh Hankin. Mary Cathedral School in Covington then St. Jo was a proud graduate from the Class of 1945 Saint Henry High School in Erlanger, KY. My Mom and I had also previously attended Mother of God Church in Covington, KY. Jo was a strong Christian having lived her Roman Catholic faith spiritually supported so lovingly by very special Jesuit Fathers from St. Our Mother 's dynamic strength and spunk shown through, overcoming many obstacles, surviving and thriving under many challenges and crosses she had carried so courageously throughout her inspirational life.
